Illinois teen shot and killed in fight over Facebook post

A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed when he and his sisters confronted someone else about a post to Facebook.

Anthony Diaz was in the Belmont Central neighborhood when he was shot multiple times just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday, February 8, 2015 according to Chicago Police.

The teen’s stepfather said Anthony and his sisters, ages 15 and 17, intended to confront someone about a post on Facebook when they left home without permission according to our sister station WGN. Anthony was recording the confrontation on his cell phone when he was shot and killed.

Police found four shell casings at the scene of the shooting. No arrests had been made as of Monday morning, February 9.
