The bodies of two people reported missing in Osceola, Iowa were later found in a vehicle in rural northern Clarke County.  Police said both people died of gunshot wounds.  Autopsies were planned for Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

The vehicle was found at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, in the 1300 block of 255th Avenue in Osceola, police said.

Richard Ryan Lamb Carson, 38, of Osceola, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of the two victims.

Three other Osceola residents were also each charged with one count of accessory after the fact: 47-year-old Lynn Ranean Sutton, 43-year-old Tracy Kay Johnson and 42-year-old Christopher Martin Elben.

“It appears this is an isolated incident and the public is not in danger,” said a statement from the Iowa Department of Public Safety.

The identities of the two victims were withheld until family could be notified by authorities.
