Former presidential candidate Rick Santorum was back in the Quad Cities on Monday, January 26, 2015.

The visit came just two days after the Iowa Freedom Summit in Des Moines. Santorum was one of the speakers on Saturday. The visit also came just three months after Santorum spoke to the Scott County Republicans in Bettendorf.

On Saturday, Santorum spoke of the need to help “blue-collar families.” He said the Republican party needs to focus on lower taxes and less government regulations. He says the party needs to stop being so critical of President Barack Obama. Santorum was even considering a run for President when he was in the Quad Cities back in October.

Santorum was at the Holiday Inn in Davenport at 12:30 p.m. The event was for Lincoln Club members only. The Lincoln Club is the main fundraising program for the Scott County Republicans.
