Two hospitalized in four-car collision on Avenue of the Cities in Moline

A four-car wreck on Avenue of the Cities caused traffic on Avenue of the Cities in Moline, Illinois to be directed away.

The crash happened near the intersection of Avenue of the Cities and 19th Street before 7:30 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015.

Moline Police said a driver in a truck ran a red light, T-boning another vehicle.

Impact from that crash reportedly caused a domino-effect, hitting two other cars.

Two people were extricated from one of the vehicles.

Police said two people were hospitalized.

Westbound traffic on Avenue of the Cities was reportedly not being permitted to drive through the intersection and were being directed away from it.

At around 8:20 p.m. a spokesperson from the Moline Police Department said police were no longer on scene and traffic was being let through.
