The Dow Jones Industrial Average could reach a new milestone in a matter of days, if not hours.
On Friday, on the heels of a strong employment report, the Dow surged to within 30-points of 18,000.
The markets open Monday, December 8 at 17,974.13.
On Friday, the Labor Department reported 321,000 new jobs were created in November, a larger-than-expected increase. 15,000 new jobs were also added to the September and 29,000 added to the previously released October statistics.
Investment adviser Phil Kassewitz said live on "Good Morning Quad Cities" that lower oil and gas prices are also driving both the markets and the overall economy.
