Gunshot fired during reported Muscatine apartment burglary

A Muscatine apartment wall was shot at during a reported overnight burglary.

At an apartment building in the 200 block of East 2nd Street in Muscatine, a burglary where weapons were shown was reported around 5:30 a.m., Sunday, December 7, 2014, according to Phil Sargent, the Muscatine Police Department’s Assistant Chief.

During the burglary one shot was fired into the apartment wall. Nobody was hurt in the incident, police said.

“The offender or offenders were gone prior to officers arriving,” Sargent said.
