It is truly unbelievable how much energy you can save when you do just a few little things right, such as setting up your thermostat correctly (78 degrees and higher for summer), keeping your drapes closed during the hot summer days, or watching out for the phantom load (some of your electronics may use energy even when they are turned off, so unplugging the appliances is a certain way how to avoid it). All simple and so much effective. It is a list of really good tips you got together here, although if you wish to even extend it, here are good recommendations too: Instant Green Improvements, such as suggestion to insulate your attic well or to install a water aerator.
