For the sixth time, cyclist Lance Armstrong will travel across Iowa in the annual RAGBRAI ride.

Armstrong was stripped of seven Tour de France championships and an Olympic bronze medal, and he was banned from competitive cycling, after he admitted taking performance-enhancing drugs.

Armstrong was also forced out of Livestrong, the charity he created in 1997 after his own battle with testicular cancer. He recently said he would consider starting a new, similar foundation if he was not allowed to return to Livestrong, according to The Des Moines Register.

RAGBRAI organizers tweeted confirmation that Armstrong will ride in 2014, and he’ll help raise money for flood recovery by bartending in Rock Valley, Iowa.

The 42nd annual RAGBRAI starts Sunday, July 20, 2014 in Rock Valley and ends Saturday, July 26 in Guttenberg.
