Diane Lowe makes sure more than 50 standard bearers are on the course every day of the John Deere Classic.

She's the volunteer chairperson of the standard bearer committee, coordinating a total of 140 standard bearers for the tournament. The standard bearers carry signs, displaying the pros scores to the gallery of spectators at the tournament.

Diane says 2014 is her 40th year as a JDC volunteer.

"I just got involved, you know, when I was younger, and then the passion just kept growing and growing," Diane said.  "And, it's like a family every year, you look forward to it."

In addition to their volunteer service at the tournament,  the standard bearers also donate money.  They have raised more than $30,000 for the Make-a-Wish Foundation since 1995.
