Sterling Police were searching for two men from Rock Falls, who were wanted in connection with a hit-and-run that left a man fighting for his life.

Jacob Carr, of Sterling, was unresponsive when he was found in the 300 block of West 5th Street just after 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014.  Police said he had been struck by a vehicle sometime in the hour before he was found.   He was so incapacitated that a family member had to identify him, and Carr was hospitalized in intensive care after he was found.
