A new direct flight from the Quad Cities to Washington D.C. could become a reality.

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn was expected in Moline Saturday morning. He may sign off on a subsidy that would help cover the route over the next few years.

The state could contribute $1.5 million annually over the next three years to help with costs.
