Employees evacuated for small fire at John Deere Seeding Works

Workers were evacuated as a precaution when a small fire was reported inside the John Deere Seeding Works in Moline.

The fire was reported at about 10:15 a.m. at the facility at 501 River Drive.

Smoke reportedly built up in duct work in a small area that was under renovation inside the facility.

"The fire was self-contained.  There were no injuries or damage," said a spokesperson for John Deere.
