If you’ve got any questions or concerns about the safety of your child as he or she rides in the car, you may want to take part in this free event.
A car seat safety check has been scheduled for Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Sterling. There, parents can have certified child safety seat technicians check their car seats for recalls, expired dates, and learn how to correctly install their car seats.
The Sterling Police Department, the Illinois Department of Transportation, and the Winnebago County Safe Kids Coalition are holding the event.
The safety event will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the J.C. Penney’s parking lot at the Northland Mall at 2900, East Lincolnway.
