The dock at Schwiebert Riverfront Park was set to temporarily close for repairs.

The closure was set for Wednesday and Thursday, June 18 and 19, 2014 after Park and Recreation officials found faulty bolts.

A spokesperson from the City of Rock Island said the discovery was made on Tuesday, June 17 and the bolts needed to be replaced because they “could present a safety issue for boaters and visitors.”

The dock was expected to reopen on Friday, June 20.
