The harassment lawsuit that a former employee filed against Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford has been thrown out.
WGN reported in early June of 2014 a federal judge tossed out the lawsuit, which accused Rutherford of a hostile work environment, sexual harassment and gender discrimination.
According to WGN, Rutherford says the lawsuit was politically-motivated, and made at a time that would destroy his campaign for governor.
The judge reportedly gave Michalowski until June 12 to re-file the suit.
