On Tuesday, June 3 Iowa voters will head to the polls for the 2014 Primary Election.
On the ballot, voters will be asked to choose candidates for some upcoming federal, state and county races.
On the federal level voters will select a candidate for U.S. Senator to run against Bruce Braley and one Republican and one Democratic candidate will be selected for U.S. Representative District 1 to compete in the November General Election.
Also, a U.S. Representative District 2 race will be held to choose a Republican candidate to run against Dave Loebsack in November.
At the state level, voters will select a Republican candidate to run against Jack Hatch in November’s race for Iowa governor.
State representatives will also be selected from District 73, District 91, and District 97 to run against various opponents in November. Candidates for State Senator will be chosen in District 29 and District 45.
Several counties will be selecting candidates to run for their Board of Supervisors, including Scott, Clinton, Muscatine, and three districts in Jackson County.
Additional races include the Muscatine County Recorder, Louisa County Supervisor, and the Des Moines County Treasurer.
The polls will be open Tuesday from 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. statewide.
