The 25th annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure is set for Saturday, June 14th in downtown Moline, but people don't need to wait until then to help out as Komen Quad Cities is Necker's Jewelers' "Gift of Giving" recipient for the month of May.
Necker's will donate a portion of all sales from its DeWitt and Davenport locations to Komen Quad Cities to help the organization help women in the Quad Cities.
"Many of the grants fund mammograms, ultrasounds and procedures for women who can't afford them," Christina McNamara-Schmidt, Komen Quad Cities PR, Marketing and Sponsorship Chair told News 8. "We also fund education and outreach efforts [with the donations]."
