MidAmerican Energy was reporting nearly 1,000 residents without power in the QC after a series of storms blew through the area.

Shortly before 6 p.m., almost 900 were without power in Moline, Illinois. Around 9:30 p.m. that number had dropped to about 200 without power.

A spokesperson from MidAmerican said that the outage was weather related. One circuit reportedly went out and crews were in route around 6 p.m. to assess the problem.

“We have crews working through the evening and overnight to restore service as quickly and safely as possible,” said a spokesperson from MidAmerican around 7:50 p.m.

It was estimated that all customers in Moline would have their power restored by 1 a.m. or a little before.

Below is a map of the Moline outage’s boundary lines.

I’ve had enough of the BS in this idiotic area. Funny how it’s “900 without power”, but yet across the road and BEHIND MY HOUSE, my neighbors had power. I’m tired of this. It’s ALWAYS my little area that gets power outages for several hours. This bipolar weather, the constant storms, enough is enough. Time to move somewhere better.
