Assumption track athletes relive record setting week at Drake Relays

Assumption track athletes Markel Mommsen, Emma Bassier, Rose Ripslinger and Maddie Irmen won two of the four relays for the Assumption track team.  The Lady Knights also took first in the 4 x 800 and the 4 x 200.  Assumption finished second in the 4 x 400.

Dan Tomlin, St. Ambrose Track and Field coach, breaks down the Drake Relays.  He discussed how strong the female track runners are in Eastern Iowa.  Their chances to win state and how college athletes performed at Drake.

The Black Hawk Softball Team captured another Arrowhead Conference Championship over the weekend.  Two members of the softball team talked about playing for head coach Carrie Calderone.  What makes this years team good and what they need to do to make it back to the national tournament.

The FCA story of the week features Rockridge track athlete Devin Hasson. Devin is trying to make it to the state track meet for the 4th straight year.  But track is only the beginning of what Devin has been able to accomplish, she is involved in several groups and clubs and is number one in her class.
