A tornado that briefly touched down near Lone Tree, Iowa was rated an EF-0 in a preliminary report by the National Weather Service.
A team from the NWS office in the Quad Cities surveyed the area the morning after the tornado struck, and found no damage to any property.

The NWS estimated peak wind from the tornado at 65 miles per hour. It was about 25 yards wide and was on the ground for about a mile, from a half-mile west of Lone Tree to a half-mile north of Lone Tree.
“Several witnesses described a funnel that went up and down numerous times,” according to a post on the NWS website.
Tornadoes rated zero on the Enhanced Fujita (EF) Scale have peak wind speeds between 65 and 85 miles per hour. Tornadoes are rated from zero to five, with an EF-5 listed as the most violent tornado with wind speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour.
