A motorcyclist is dead after a crash north of the Quad Cities.
According to a press release from the Clinton County Sheriff's Office, it happened just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the 3800 block of Highway 136, approximately two miles east of Goose Lake, Iowa. The location is 16 miles northwest of Clinton, Iowa.
When deputies arrived, they found the motorcyclist and a motorcycle lying on the west side of the roadway.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Medical Examiner's Office.
The name of the driver was being withheld pending notification of family.
The accident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff's Office.
