One Person Injured After Shooting in Rock Island

Rock Island Police say that one person is injured after a shooting on Friday, March 21st, 2014.

It happened at the corner of 6th Street and 6th Avenue around 1:15 a.m. Reports released Friday morning show that the victim was a 28 year-old male. Police tell us that the shooting occurred outside of the homes at the intersection.

Investigators say the male victim has been taken to Trinity Rock Island. They also say he is doing okay, but they are not releasing his name.

On Thursday, March 20th, Scott County Sheriff Deputies and the Davenport Police Department were involved in a standoff situation. That incident ended, with no one injured.
