Over two hundred women attended the sixth annual Agriculture Conference at Jumer's Casino and Hotel today.

The women networked and learned from their peers while listening to speakers talk about effective communication and family farm succession planning.

Rock Island County Farm Bureau Manager, DeAnne Bloomberg, said she was excited to be bringing together so many farming women again this year.

"We just want to be able to be that source and connection point for women to gather face to face annually," said Bloomberg.

Bloomberg also added that farms are changing more and more these days. "A lot of younger couples are returning to the family farm in their late twenties, early thirties, so we're starting to see that next generation take over the farm."
