A 68-year-old West Virginia man was arrested in Galesburg after a police dog found 145 pounds of marijuana in his SUV.
Police stopped a 2004 GMC Yukon on I-74 February 24, 2014. A police canine alerted officers to something suspicious in the SUV, and investigators discovered 145 pounds of cannabis in the vehicle.
The driver, 68-year-old David Joseph of West Virginia, was arrested and charged with manufacture/deliver of more than 5,000 grams of cannabis and trafficking more than 5,000 grams of cannabis.
Joseph appeared in Knox County Court February 26, and his bond was set at $150,000.
Jail records show Joseph was still in the Knox County Jail March 3.
