Candlelight vigil held for missing Davenport woman

The Davenport community planned to gather by candlelight in honor of a missing woman.

A candlelight vigil for 29-year-old Carrie Olson was set for 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on East Rusholme Street in Davenport.

Olson was last seen on December 28, 2013 at a gas station on 38th Street and 18th Avenue in Rock Island. A surveillance camera captured images of her getting gas at that time.

Since her disappearance, a reward fund has been set up to aid in her family’s search.

Anyone with information about Carrie is asked to call Davenport Police at (563) 326-7979.

Another missing Davenport person, 45-year-old Willis Hughes, has been missing since December 21, 2013. He was reportedly last seen at his home.

Anyone with information about Willis Hughes’ whereabouts or disappearance is asked to contact Davenport Police Detective Dave Morse at  (563) 888-3533, Detective Sgt. Gil Proehl at (563) 888-2094 or the Station Supervisor at (563) 326-6125.
