Deadlines for voters to register and participate in the March primary are approaching.

Registration deadlines for the March primary are approaching.

According to the Illinois State Board of Elections website February 18, 2014 is the last day to register to vote.

After that date, a grace period for voters to register lasts from February 19 – March 15. During this time voters can register or update their registration information.

To register in Illinois, the voter must be at least 18 years old by Election Day. To vote in a General Primary, a voter can be 17 if they will be 18 by the following General Election, according to the State Board of Elections.

To register in Iowa, voters must be at least 17 and a half years old; they must be 18 by election day. Click here for more information.
