Bus crashes into house in Davenport

Police closed westbound lanes of Grand Avenue after a bus reportedly crashed into a Davenport house.

Police said three people were injured after two vehicles collided causing a city bus to crash into a Davenport home.

The Davenport Police Department said shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 a Davenport City Bus collided with a vehicle at East Locust Street and Grand Avenue. After the crash, the bus struck a house on Grand Ave.

A spokesperson from the Davenport Fire Department said no one inside the home was injured. Two people from the car and one person on the bus were taken to an area hospital for treatment. There were nine people on the bus.

Police said there was "notable" structural damage to the home. The incident is under investigation.

Westbound lanes of Grand Avenue were closed at East Locust.
