More than 2,700 Ameren customers south of the Quad Cities were without electricity Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2014.
Ameren’s website indicated 1,836 customers in Henderson County, Illinois were without power at about 12:30 p.m. That number represents nearly half of all Ameren customers in Henderson County.
At that same time, 110 Ameren customers in Warren County, and 836 in Mercer County, were also without electricity.
There was no word yet from Ameren on what caused the outage.
