Police say a woman was killed by a drunk driver in Silvis, Illinois.
Police said the 54-year-old woman was a pedestrian when she was struck on the ramp from Route 84 to westbound John Deere Road just before 3 a.m. Sunday, February 9, 2014. Police said the woman was dead when they arrived at the scene of the wreck.
The woman's name was not yet released. The ramp was closed for more than seven hours by crash investigators.
Police said they arrested 30-year-old Moses Clemente, who was the alleged driver of a 2006 Dodge Charger that struck the woman.
Clemente was accused of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while his license was suspended.
Clemente was held without bond in the Rock Island County Jail.
