A woman from Milan, Illinois was identified as the person who died when her car struck a Metro Link bus Monday, February 3, 2014.
The crash happened just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of 60th Street and John Deere Road in Moline.
Police said 73-year-old Sharon Hensley of Milan was traveling eastbound on John Deere Road when her vehicle broadsided a northbound bus. The bus continued forward and it hit the front end of two westbound vehicles stopped at the red light.
Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson said initial information showed Hensley suffered a massive heart attack just before her vehicle collided with the bus.
Hensley’s dog was also in her vehicle, and the dog was also killed in the crash.
