MidAmerican Energy crews responded to a power outage Friday, January 10th, 2014 in Davenport.

Crews on scene tell us a static wire snapped in the 3700 block of Brady Street in Davenport. The line snapped just to the east of Brady Street Stadium. It happened around 5:30 Friday morning.

MidAmerican Energy reported 10,000 Davenport residents without power at 5:30 a.m. By 6:45 a.m., there were less than 500 residents without power.  A few hours later, the utility reported all outages were restored.

Crews on scene would not say what caused the wire to snap. They also didn't know whether a transformer blew in the city. Brady Street is still open to traffic in the area just south of Kimberly Road.

Thursday however, there was a water main break near Central Park Avenue and Brady Street. Traffic in that intersection is down to two lanes.
