There's a new brew in the Quad Cities.
Great River Brewery in downtown Davenport has a new beer on tap, called Hopapotamus.
The double dark rye pale ale has six variations of rye malt and is 99 IBUs, so brewers say it is very hoppy.
The Brewery held a tapping party on Saturday, December 14, 2013 for the unique brew, but brewers also gave some advice for anyone who wants to try it.
"Be careful," laughed Brewer Trevor Krutzfeldt. "It's delicious, but it is definitely a sipper so it's very good, but fear the hippo."
Hopapotamus will be available in store, like HyVee, starting next week.
