WQAD News 8 is an all day drop location for the Toys for Tots program on December 3rd, 2013.

Our studios are located at 3003 Park 16th Street, in Moline. WQAD News 8 will be collecting toys outside until 7 p.m. Tuesday. If you can't make it Tuesday, WQAD will be accepting toy donations during business hours until December 10th. New and unwrapped toys are accepted. Please no clothes, stuffed animals, realistic weapons (nerf guns are OK) or religious items.

Registration is down so far for Toys for Tots this year. Organizers say they usually have about 4,000 families sign up for toys by this point. This year, they have just 3,500. Staff Sergent Matt Starratt says the group still needs toys for children aged six to nine and 10-12.

Parents can still register their child to receive a toy on Friday, December 6th, and Saturday, December 7th. Parents can register their child at the old Country Market Grocery Store on 2252 24th Street in Rock Island, IL.
