Restoration St. Louis Developer Amrit Gill is looking to re-develop four buildings in downtown Davenport.

Gill wants to make the Putnam, Parker, Center, and First Midwest Bank buildings a hotel, housing, retail, and office development. Gill wants to make the Putnam building the hotel out of all four.

In December of 2012, Gill wanted to make the Putnam and Parker buildings the new casino in the city of Davenport. In the past year, Davenport leaders have decided to move forward with an interstate casino instead of a downtown casino.

Gill would like $28.5 million in property tax rebates over the next 20 years to re-develop the buildings. Gill also owns Hotel Blackhawk in downtown Davenport.

City council members will review the plans Monday, December 2nd, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. Nothing will be approved though.
