Fire damages Davenport apartment house

Smoke was visible from Moline after fire broke out in an apartment house in Davenport, Iowa.

The fire was reported just before 12:30 p.m. at a building in the 200 block of Warren Street on the west side of Davenport.

Heavy smoke was visible when firefighters arrived.  The fire was believed to involve the back side of the building.

Firefighters said they did not think anyone lived in the building at the time of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
