Illinois Governor Pat Quinn will be back in the Quad Cities on Veterans Day, November 11th, 2013.

Governor Quinn will talk about the Veterans Cash program on Monday. Illinois residents can actually buy a lottery ticket at stores statewide. The proceeds are supposed to help veterans throughout the state.

"The new Veterans Cash game is available at Illinois Lottery retail locations throughout the state," according to a press release from Governor Quinn's office. "Each ticket costs $2 and the game features top prizes of $20,000. The Lottery anticipates raising more than $1 million for Illinois veterans from the new game."

The program can help soldiers who are coming back from war and dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. More than 180 people died in active duty during 2012.

UnityPoint Health Trinity is checking veterans for potential mental health issues. They just announced two new programs on Wednesday.

Governor Quinn will be at the Milan Hy-Vee around 1:45 p.m. To see all the Veterans Day events going on, click here. To donate to the Veterans Cash program, click here.
