Fire Damages a Home in Rock Island

A house is severely damaged after a fire broke out in Rock Island Thursday, November 7, 2013.

It happened at the corner of 45th Street and 8th Avenue just before 3 a.m. No one lives in the home on Rock Island's east side. Police tell us that the home was "unlivable" before the fire started.

Crews were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes. There were also no injuries to report.

Crews have not released the cause of the fire. They were on scene for at least two hours. Firefighters from Moline responded to the scene too.
