Davenport Mayor Bill Gluba reelected

Rivaling former councilman Keith Meyer, and write-in candidate and former Davenport mayor Phil Yerington, Gluba won the race.

Incumbent, Mayor Bill Gluba won the election for mayor in Davenport.

Davenport residents hit the polls on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 to vote in their city’s races, which included the big race for mayor. Gluba was running against former councilman Keith Meyer, and write-in candidate and former Davenport mayor Phil Yerington.

Gluba won with 65 percent of the vote. Opponent, Keith Meyer received 9 percent and 25 percent of the votes went to write-in candidates.

Scott County has over 112,500 registered voters and there were nearly 15,000 ballots cast in Tuesday’s election. For more Scott County results, click here.

According to the City of Davenport’s website, Bill Gluba has been the city’s mayor since 2007.
