Blue Grass mayor reelected, beats opponent by one vote

The mayor of Blue Grass, Mayor Brinson Kinzer, was reelected but defeated his opponent by only one vote.

According to unofficial election results posted by Scott County on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, Kinzer beat opponent, Timothy Brandenburg by just one vote. After both of the city’s two precincts reported, results showed that Kinzer received 169 votes while Brandenburg got 168.

With 16 write-in votes, both men received about 47-percent of the vote each.
