The first people to see it reported large flames shooting from the back of a burning Moline home on Avenue of the Cities.
Fire was reported in a home on Avenue of the Cities just east of 18th Street A just before 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013.
The fire was reportedly on the first floor of the 2-1/2-story home.
Firefighters that searched the home said they did not find anyone inside.
Fire trucks and emergency equipment blocked westbound lanes on Avenue of the Cities to traffic for about an hour and a half.
It took firefighters about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control.
