Geneseo Police released a composite sketch of a man they say broke into a home there in early September 2013.

Police said they were called to a home in the 900 block of South State Street just before 5 a.m. Monday, September 9.  The caller reported waking up to hearing strange sounds inside the house, and then discovering a man taking items out of the house and putting them in the yard.

The victim told police the intruder said he had permission to be in the house.  The victim called 911 and the alleged intruder was gone when police arrived.

Police said the alleged intruder may have used an open window to get inside the house.

The victim told police the alleged intruder is 5-feet 10-inches to 6-feet tall with a medium build.  He reportedly wore a blue and yellow striped shirt and khaki shorts.

A police crime scene artist created a sketch of the alleged intruder based on information the victim provided.  The sketch was distributed to media by police October 6.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Henry County Crime Stoppers at 800-227-2324.  Tips are anonymous and could lead to a cash reward.
