Construction is set to begin in East Moline, closing one lane of Kennedy Drive.
According to a spokesperson from the City of East Moline, crews will begin installing a new gas pipeline along the west side of Kennedy Drive starting on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 7 a.m. The project will be south of Avenue of the Cities and in front of the Hope Creek Care Center.
The outside west lane of Kennedy Drive will be closed with barricades during the daytime hours, but traffic control will not affect two-way traffic, only the outside lane.
Work is expected to be complete by October 11.
