Iowa man sentenced for smuggling women in exchange for sex

A Story County man was sentenced after pleading guilty to smuggling two Mexican woman into the U.S. in exchange for housekeeping and sex.

A Story County, Iowa man was sentenced to 16 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to smuggling two Mexican woman into the United States in exchange for housekeeping and sex.

Donald Dean Jensen, 58, pleaded guilty to alien smuggling.  Prosecutors said as part of his guilty plea, Jensen admitted he paid another person to smuggle two women into the U.S. in two separate incidents in 2010.

A statement from the office of U.S. Attorney Nicholas Klinefeldt said both women testified at Jensen’s sentencing hearing.

“At sentencing, the women testified they were expected to cook, clean and have sexual relations with Jensen during their stay in Iowa. Both women also testified about the limited communication and feeling of isolation they encountered during their stay at Jensen’s rural residence,” the statement said.

Jensen was sentenced in federal court Thursday, August 22, 2013 to 16 months in prison.  He was also ordered to pay a $5,000 fine.
