Rock Falls girl passed-away after go-cart crash

A 12-year-old girl died from injuries she sustained after crashing a go-cart into the back of a truck.

Around 12:30 in the afternoon, Dinah Attebury had been riding a go-cart around a yard when she entered the driveway and collided with the back of a flat bed truck on Monday, August 12, 2013, police said.

She was taken to an area hospital before being airlifted to a hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. The police department was told around 8:30 on Monday evening that she had passed away.

Counseling will be available for area students at the new PLT Middle School in Prophetstown, Illinois. Times for counseling will be on Wednesday, August 14 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Thursday from noon - 3 p.m. Call Kristy Cady at 815-537-5084, ext: 1101.
