Items connected to burglaries in several area counties were reportedly found in a Mercer County, Illinois home.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards confirmed investigators from Mercer and Warren counties executed a search warrant August 8, 2013 at a home in Seaton.

The search turned up “articles alleged to be associated with burglaries in Mercer County, Warren County, Henderson County and Monmouth,” according to Sheriff Edwards.

Catherine Mierendorf, 61, of Seaton, was arrested and later released from the Mercer County Jail. Court records show she was charged with one count of theft/possession of stolen property.

Steven Piper, 59, was also arrested at his home in Monmouth in connection with the case.  Piper was charged with burglary and remained held in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bond.
