The Moline School District will reveal plans for a new Hamilton School Monday night at a special board meeting.

As previously reported, the school district will expand Hamilton and close Ericsson and Garfield Elementary Schools as part of its operational plan. That will save the district $350,000 a year.

Many neighbors are still worried about traffic for Hamilton School though. The school is located at the corner of 7th Street and 32nd Avenue. Neighbors worry they won't be able to get out of their homes before school.

The school will have 450 more students than it has now. The school will be ready for the new students by the 2014-2015 school year.

Monday's meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at John Deere Middle School. The school board should approve the expansion plans at its August 12th meeting.
