A former Lyon County, Iowa Sheriff’s deputy is accused of having sexual contact with a 15-year-old girl who went on a ride-along with him.
State Police said Christopher Wayne Lincecum, 35, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, took the girl on a ride-along on two occasions, and that he had “inappropriate sexual contact with the victim” during one of those rides.
The investigation began in late June 2013. Lincecum was arrested and charged with felony third-degree sexual abuse Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
State Police said Lincecum’s employment with the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office ended in the spring of 2013 due to an unrelated matter. Online records show Lincecum worked for the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office from 2008 to 2013.
Lincecum was released from Lyon County Jail after posting bond the same day he was arrested.
