Festivities surround the Bix 7 began with the street fest and the Junior Bix race.

Downtown Davenport was a big party on Friday, July 26, 2013 as vendors, food, music, runners, and residents all gathered for the festival.

The street fest is on 2nd Street between Brady and Ripley Streets. The event is free and runs Friday until midnight and all day Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.

“This isn’t just a little town local event,” said Greg Beaman from Iowa’s Finest Kettle Corn. “This attracts people from all over the world so that’s what makes it fun.”

The kettle corn company from Long Grove has been coming to the Bix for over a decade.
