According to the Bettendorf Police Department, a 37-year-old man was walking south across Middle Road shortly before 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 when he was hit by a Toyota Rav4.  The car was driven by a 21-year-old Bettendorf man traveling east on Middle Road in the south lane.

The pedestrian suffered head injuries. He was taken to Genesis East Hospital by ambulance, before being transported to the University of Iowa Hospital by Med-Force.
