Hours after the White House confirmed that President Barack Obama is heading back to the Quad City area, the city of Galesburg, Illinois is already gearing up for the visit. The city will serve as a backdrop for an all too familiar topic.
President Barack Obama plans to make a return visit to Galesburg on Wednesday, July 24.
According to a White House official, he will hold an event on the economy. It was President Obama's first State of the Union speech in 2009, where he gave a shout out to Galesburg.
"I hope he'll be able to see how most people in America are having to live, because I think a lot of times the politicians don't know how the little people have to live," said Trego.
Further details on the President's travel and events will be made available in coming days.
